Volunteering Activities in Spain 3

As you can see, we have been very busy these days. We have also taken some happiness to the old people. We went to the residence of Montepinar where some of our dancers danced, we sang some christmas carols and a our partner Emilio took the people who sing with him in his "Cuadrilla" to sing some traditional Murcian songs. We had a very nice afternoon making the elderly people have a happier christmas.

And to finish, we have also visited a centre for mentally and physically disabled people in Churra, where  we have sang some carols and some of our little dancers have danced some flamenco for them. We have had a very nice morning with them.

Volunteering Activities in Spain 2

A few days later our schedules have been very busy. We made our students bring a kilo of food or an old toy. Our students gave their food and toys to "The Three Wise Men" who came to visit us to our school. The food we got was given to Jesús Abandonado, an it will be the lunches and dinners of many homeless people during this Christmas. The toys were taken to Punto de Encuentro and they will be given to children whose parents can not buy them any toys at all.

More activities in our next post. See you!!!

Volunteering Activities in Spain

In these last weeks we have had a lot of volunteering activities with our students which they have enjoyed a lot and have made them discover that there are a lot of people who are not as happy as they are.
To start with, we participated in a Solidary Fair that was held in the swimming pool of Cabezo de Torres. We cooperated with the NGO Amigos de Malí who are making an extraordinary job to help a lot of people in Africa.

We will show you the other activities in the next post. See you later!!!!

Activities in Denmark

On 26th of November, we were to a Christmas party with old people.

We had arranged bingo bingo, singing to the elderly and served Christmas food. The old people just loved it!

For bingo bingo we had sponsored gifts from the supermarket, Føtex.

They sponsored a lot of Christmas stuff and chocolate. We talked with a lot of old people, and they thought we did a great job, so we could come home with a good feeling of having done something good for others. It was a good experience to do something good.

Yours sincerely, Denmark

Collection of food/Poland

Hello
Yesterday and today pupils and tutors from our school have been collecting food for "The food bank" Our volunteers were giving leaflets at the entrance of the supermarket, then others were collecting food for free from the customers to the troilers. At the end of each day of work we were packing all the food to the van.
The food colection is systematic action provided by the Polish organisation every Easter and Christmas.
The food will be given to the poor and homeless people week later.
